Got the mixed grill for lunch. The chicken sish was tender and juicy, so was the lamb and Adana. Nothin to complain. Decent portion and the bread was so soft. The two dips was so good, wished the gave more. Overall a 7.5/10. Will be back.
Amazing Turkish cuisine. The service was very good and the grilled meats was full of flavour. The soup and bread was absolutely delightful too. Would definitely come back again.
First of all, it's rare to find proper yaprak döner in Australia, and they actually did it well — the döner was tasty and the içli köfte was also good. I understand that the place was busy, but the service was very poor. I went inside just to get the menu, then I asked the waiter for a plate they didn’t bring it, so I had to go inside again to request it once more. If I have to keep going inside every time I need something, then there’s no point in having tables outside. Also, I don’t recommend the lahmacun.
I visited Galata Kebab and Grill and ordered the mixed meal with chicken doner, lamb doner, and a lahmacun. The dips were generous, the salads were fresh, and the adana was genuinely delicious, full of flavour and cooked really well. The portion sizes were large and definitely good value. The only thing that caught me off guard was the timing. My adana arrived first, but the doner took noticeably longer, and a couple if patrons who arrived after me received their mixed meals before mine. I had to follow up with the staff multiple times, which was a little frustrating, though they were friendly and attentive overall.
Yes! Adana kebab definitely lived up to the hype. If you’re craving authentic & traditional & taste… you’ll enjoy this well seasoned kebab & the kunefe Portion size is very generous & the bread is super fresh.
This is our go-to spot whenever family or friends come to visit from outside of Melbourne, we’ve even had visitors from New Zealand recently. Without fail, we bring them here because the food is just that good. When my cousin moved down from Queensland last year, we took her and her family. Now she’s a regular too and brings her own guests along. It’s always worth it. We usually grab a couple of the $50 mixed grilled, they’re massive (and that’s saying something coming from a Samoan who loves a good feed!). Honestly, I’m really grateful this place is right down the road from us.
This place is one of my favourites around the area. I get the mixed meal. Excellent value, plenty of meat nice fresh salad plenty of bread and fresh delicious dips. Can barely get through it all and I’m a big eater. Must try
Located in a prime spot, we arrived at 7 pm on a bustling Friday evening and waited approximately 45 minutes to be seated. The restaurant was packed to capacity, but the wait was well worth it. Our food arrived promptly within 15 minutes of ordering, and every dish was a culinary masterpiece. The lamb chops and mutton kebabs from the mixed grill were particularly delectable. Fresh bread and a delicious salad accompanied our meal, making for a truly satisfying dining experience. While the restaurant's popularity made for a lively and somewhat loud atmosphere, we thoroughly enjoyed our evening and look forward to returning in the future.
